Back On The Road

Back on the Road

The Underground Music Club and The Harlington have joined forces to get live music, ‘Back on the Road’. After months of enforced inactivity, it is now time to get live music back on stage in a safe environment.

There will be rules to ensure your safety and of course greatly reduced numbers, but with the quality of bands we are assembling these will be shows to remember.

Check out the gig list below and get booking for what promises to be memorable afternoons at The Harlington

The Underground Music Club

The Underground Music Club are a collaboration of real music fans whose soul purpose is to bring quality live music to genuine music fans. They have hosted gigs in a variety of venues, including private houses and gardens, bars, village halls and established larger venues. Over the last four years they have hosted many ‘underground’ gigs, showcasing both established and emerging artists.

Alan Bates who formed the club says “It’s live music at its raw best. Quality musicians performing up close and personal with a knowledgeable and restful audience. We are not in this to make money, but simply to give a platform where artists can play in an environment where people really want to listen”

TUMC have assembled some of their friends for this run of very special intimate shows and together with The Harlington are getting live music, Back on the Road.

2020 started with a bang for the super-smoky-voiced, hard-working, far-touring, chanteuse Elles Bailey when “Little Piece of Heaven” written with storied Memphis and Nashville giant Bobby Wood & Dan Auerbach (of The Black Keys) picked up ‘UK Song of the Year’ at the UK Americana Awards. It’s taken from her chart-topping sophomore album ‘Road I Call Home’ which was released to rave reviews and awarded ‘Album of the Year’ at the UK Blues Awards.

The album charted in both the Official UK Country Charts & Americana charts, has gained over 2.4 million streams since its release and reached No.1 on the Amazon Blues Bestseller chart. Adding to Elles’ string of awards she also picked up the high accolade of ‘Artist of the Year ‘at the UK Blues Awards. As a self-confessed ‘rolling stone’-Elles continued her wide-ranging headline touring throughout the UK and Europe in 2019 and early 2020.

Drawn to the Blues music his parents introduced him to, such as Muddy Waters, Son House, Eric Clapton and Albert King, it became obvious his ambition as a 14 year old was to become a great Artist like his heroes. Ash has served his time, performing live since he was sixteen years old with his three bands; The Melt, Djune and The Vampires, who have opened for established names such as, Walter Trout, Mountain, Doctor Feelgood, The Animals, Ocean Colour Scene and The Kooks.

Ash joined The Sean Webster band in 2014, transforming the live set and in 2016 was asked to join, Jesse Davey's Big Blues Band, co-writing and singing the song “The Revalator" from the award winning “Big Blues Album”. During this time Ash was developing his writing talents and in 2017 released his debut album, “Broken Machine”, which established him as a singer/songwriter of note.

While Ash has continued to tour with his own band, he spends most of his time touring with the Sari Schorr band on lead guitar. This will be a special show and not to be missed.
